O'Reilly hasn't been an above average player on the penalty kill since he's been like 27 or something like that. He just doesn't have the speed to get from point A to point B to prevent you know a seam a seam pass or flex out against the point shot or the fed in entry right because defending entries is all about moving and angling plays wide and using your speed to take away time and space. The way O'Reilly plays he likes to get into a good spot and then wait for the threat to skate into him as you said.
