When we're talking about roman military, when you signed up the join, to join antony or caesar, it wasn't the salary that you were getting that was what you were looking forward to. What it was as you waiting foryo won a battle, and you could just steal all the belongings and enslave people that you conquered. And how generous you were with your split of that made, what's the difference between whether they would fight for you or fight for somebody else?
