The Candid Frame: Conversations on Photography
00:00
Portraits on the Street by Roland Tondo
Roland Tondo started during covid where he felt I wanted to go out and take candid photographs but because of the distance I thought you know let me just go out with a longer lens. Even so I had a long lens and I should have been further away I still creeped up on people I just couldn't step away from them, it became this mix of blur and and in focus photos in one photo. He was exploring the idea of what happens when i'm out with a large lens how much of attention will I get or will I get any attention? The idea that they were all beautiful made me feel really good about it.
