Congressman Thomas Massey is a Republican who sits on the rules committee, which is the last committee any bill can go through before it's voted on the floor. Democrats were relieved by that because of the tweaks that were made on the age requirements, which Democrats were very worried about,. It actually will help get more people on that program. The White House was able to make sure that nothing that they passed in the last couple of years, these big social programs that they funded, none of that was cut into.
