How to Use Triggers to Track Changes Over Time
The triggers themselves are like three lines of code. There is a default language PLPG SQL. You can write your functions in Python and take advantage of any Python module that happens to be inside your runtime. So you can in fact do like machine learning stuff inside your functions. I would say alerting is a right answer when it really is a real time problem because you can get a long way with polling. It's not like five minute old data is bad. It's like most of the time five minute oldData is incredibly good and far by anyone ever expected before.
