A thousand years ago, a pirate set sail for britain with his crew. He was attracted to the country because of its warm weather and beautiful women. But when he found himself in possession of a red-haired maid who had been taken by other pirates they were forced to make an honest bargain. The deal turned out to be worth more than £1m - but not enough to pay off all their debts.
