The Skepticism of Liberty

In 1944, the intellectuals were all betting on this democratic experiments going to end and it's going to be replaced either by fascism or communism. If we hold these beliefs in our hearts, we can actually keep this experiment going. The humility of liberty is that which is not sure that it is right.
