The Importance of Pastoral Care
Pastoral care is seen as a very therapeutic managerial administrative vocation. I don't know if it's different in different circuits, but at least within my area, the conversation is very therapeutic. The stuff that Luther talks about in his letters of spiritual counsel, that's not the conversation that I've had or or Emma is accessible to me. It doesn't seem conventional. And so they're coming to me and saying, like, there's a deeper issue here. So what do I do now?"
