A Little Bit About Harriet's Life
When Harriet Tubman was seven years old, her father sent her to work as a lumberjack. The job allowed her to learn the land and become an expert at wielding an axe. A large quaker population in the area who give her solace sends her to different points for help. She's benefiting from that network of other free black people also helping.
