The Endings of Life
This is a poem I wrote just a couple nights before my 30th birthday. Perhaps you can remember turning 30 and feeling like the world was ending in its own way. Time generously donates grief, but ironically, grief's only healed by time. So what's given is taken as the clock unwinds. But it's complex. It might sound a little mellow in my gentle grief, but I am learning to receive gifts from the ancient thief.
