When you have a lot of successes back to back, there is a tendency to become stagnant and complaisant. For sarah blakeley, for example, founder of spanks,. her dad would have them go round the table and say what they failed at that day. So in her mind, failure became not about you lost, or you're a loser, or whatever. It became about, oh, you didn't take a risk big enough to day yet. And i think it helps you determine what sort of risks you should take. Some risks are too big, some risks are not big enough.
