Can a Black Hole Form a Star?

So far, we mostly think about black holes as like the death of stars or eating other stars. But can a black hole form a star? And it turns out that star formation is a little bit more delicate and difficult than you might imagine. You need sort of special conditions for that gas in order to get it to collapse and form a star.
