How to Win Over Your Father's Love
Even disinterested parents are not normally evil, but rather parents who in a very childlike way are themselves in need of attention and love. When neither charm nor anger nor hopeless pleas are able to resurrect and win over the father, the child will stop trying and retreat into resignation. At the same time, something vital will be internalized from that experience. What I do, what I feel, what I am is meaningless to the other person.
