The Importance of Emotional Understanding

The study in my Psych1 textbook that sort of made me realize you can be a psychology researcher for a living? Oh, yeah. I love animal behavior. If Dartmouth had had a primate research program, I surely would have ended up doing that. Yeah. Recognizing fear accurately was highly correlated with whether you were kinder and this paradigm versus not. And so I think we sometimes see other animals behavior more clearly than we see our own. We don't come to quite as many assumptions. That's right. So I think this is a really useful lens for understanding human behavior.
