The Negative Aspects of Microfinance

Before microfinance, people have been helping each other with landing and borrowing without bank forever. Even in Italy, there is this ancient tradition of saving roscazza among rich women that they met at each other's house the first Sunday of every month. It was mostly among poor women but not even poor women. But I don't want to say it doesn't work because I also believe sometimes in economics, we have this fantastic data set with them. We are very good at trying to assess causality with randomized control trials.
