Inside the box is stakes in lots of different private equity or private capital funds. Each of those funds will itself own stakes inLots of different companies. Those companies typically, if it's a company owned by a private equity firm, would have a junk grade credit rating at the company level. The issue is, what if we see a generation of relatively poorly performing private equity funds?

China is enlisting the help of tech giants to reduce its dependence on foreign semiconductor technology, the Federal Reserve is divided over how much to raise interest rates, and private equity firms are selling an investment product similar to the collateralised debt obligations that fuelled the 2008 financial crisis.
