COMPLEXITY

CHAPTER

The Origins of Scaling and Cities

Cities have a certain gravity. That's something called a gravity law, which is a law that says, how many people come to a city and go to go between two cities? And that the simplest versions of that is that it's proportional to the number there in each city. So their attraction is not like gravity that attracts everything, but its saks you a little singular because they attract people that want to interact. They may be able to find a cost benefit in n an expensive place. It makes sense for them, or and therefore, that becomes much more interesting to study.
