The Case of the Army Truly Stated

A group of new agitators were suddenly elected from five cavalry regiments. They then started circulating a document called the case of the army truly stated, which demanded that parliament be disbanded and negotiations with the king cease at once. The old order of king, lords and commons would be swept away. Political representation would be based on population, not property,. There would be no forced impressment. There would be equality before the law and liberty of conscience.
