Frankenstein is a novel that's written at this time in history. We're talking the early 1800s. Mary Shelley is very influenced by science. And her book is about the resurrection of a human corpse. This stuff is sort of in the ether because we also have a guy called Aldini as well, who is playing with body parts. He wants to show that you can use electricity to reproduce the appearance of life. So he gets to play around with the corpses of electrocuted criminals in Bologna. Crikey. I did not expect meat battery. Now people just want stand up comedy.
