Fred Hampton - The Triad of the Black Panthers

Fred Hampton was born on August 30th, 1948 and he grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. He was gifted academically and physically from a very young age but injustice evident around him in America made anything but a revolutionary career impossible for Fred. When Hampton attended his first Black Panther party meeting in November 1968 the FBI had already opened a file on him a year earlier. His phone had been tapped for nine months before he ever joins the party. By the time he was a teenager he was organizing his own youth chapter of the NAACP in his small Illinois suburb. In a single year he had 500 members.
