The Effect of High Interest Rates on the Art Market

All investments are measured against the rate of interest. When interest rates rise, effectively it takes money out of the economy. Those people who have cash in savings, so on, do relatively well. So it means that in the art market, there is less money to go on art. But I see that there is a very successful sale last evening in London.
