The Evolution of HLA Antibody Testing
The most basic test in someone that you have high index of suspicion is the HLA antibody screen, right? Yes. Most hospitals won't have it. Most places will need to get it either through a reference lab or through a blood center. You can start just by getting the HLA testing because it is much more likely that you're patient if they are truly refractory for immune reasons. We just order it all at the same time because we have ready access to it.
