The Grief of the Moment

At Vanderbilt, one of the things that I saw was a kind of bafflement and a sense of why is this happening? And that always is the case, but it wasn't a theodicy question. It was does anybody even care about this to address it? So I think there's a lot of cognitive dissonance because they're seeing at the same time this sort of really broken American culture and moment.
