Manchin's Trick Is to Call Himself a Moderate
CNN's Jake Tapper says mainstream media lies about Sen. Joe Manchin (D-West Virginia) The senator has been accused of being a moderate, despite his opposition to paid family leave and other policies that are popular with the public. He said it is because he refuses to accept dark money from billionaires who have given him campaign donations. "They lie on my behalf 24 seven," manchin told CNN in an interview aired Sunday night.
