I Want to Be a Cinematographer?

We get about 700 applications a year and we accept a class of 40. So, you know, we're looking for people with stories to tell. The mission statement and the portfolio is really how we, what we use to decide. And very often the portfolios, they can be still photographs. They don't have to be films. They can be paintings or drawings. Whatever the students would like to present. I think that's how we end up with such a diverse group and a group of people who want to make good films. You know, they want to tell stories. That's the important part.
