People are developing genuine emotional attachments to machines, even knowing perfectly well that the machines don't feel anything. The real thing we should worry about is who is making these robots and what they want from us. i now every new technology that comes along, advertisers are trying to get their hands on and see if they can manipulate use your preferences or behaviors. Social robots will be a new tool for that.
