The Mind's Impartial Observer

For the majority of us with this whole mind thing, how do we even start to get to the 10 or 20%? How do we start to conceptualize the mind within the same context as you just said, hey, the dog never barks. I've never heard that. Never stops barking. So sincerity in wanting to learn about the true nature of mind, its habits, its patterns is like watching an animal in the wild. And if one is sincere, then they will experiment with their own mind to discover the thoughts that it creates.
