A Randomized Controlled Trial of Acupuncture for Chronic Low Back Pain

There was a study published in JAMA that looked at acupuncture for chronic low back pain. It found tailoring the needling sites to each patient and penetration of the skin were found to be unimportant in eliciting therapeutic benefits. There was another randomized controlled trial looking at evidence for acupuncture in the context of migraines. Both groups seemed to report improvement in their self-reported migraine symptoms, duration and severity.
