The Consequences of Perfume
Perfume ingredients are considered trade secrets So they aren't listed on the bottle. Some animal studies have found fragrance chemicals that are probable carcinogens Or have been linked to liver, kidney and lung damage. The perfume industry says that all the ingredients they use are at such low concentration That they aren't dangerous to human health But there have been calls to set more limits on the materials perfumers can use.
