The Importance of Process in Urban Projects

New York legalized marijuana in March 2021. It is now June going on July of 2023, almost two and a half years later. And they have only permitted four one, two, three, four legal marijuana shops. In the meantime, something like 1500 illegal shops or or unregulated shops quasi legal, however you'd like to say it, don't have a permit. They don't have permission. Something like 1500 of those shops have sprung up in New York City. There's an unregulated, unlicensed weed shop, like every block. You know, it makes sense that giant industrial projects should have some level of environmental regulation. I think we need some process here, but progressives have over learned
