Laugh Out Loud Funny - My Year of Meats
As a young japanese girl, margaret cho wasn't born yet. The idea that an asian woman could be funny was just unheard of. Growing up in a predominantly white culture i really internalized the japanese racial stereotypes and felt that that's what i needed to live out. And so when i wrote my ear of meats, i was happy to be able to write comedy as well.
