The Rise of the US Talent Market

Sequoia has deep roots in the US and we've seen many, many successful companies we built there. But I think it's really hard to directly compare the US and European talent market because their dynamics are different firstly, which makes them two very different pools of talent. Europe is far more fragmented and dispersed, it's highly nuanced across geographies. Things like notice periods can vary greatly even across Europe. And taxation differences mean that equity is regarded differently. So there's so much complexity, it's reallyhard to compare, it feels like it's not an apples for apples comparison.
