The Evolution of Seals

Shrews have about a year between generations. Wolves, there's different values in research between about 4.1 and 4.7 years. I got a value of 21.2 million generations for seals, which I'm going to round to 21 million. So the seals have had fewer generations because their dog like ancestors, I assume, have longer generation times than lemur like ancestors. We are 21 millionth cousins, 6 million times removed.
