What Is Guilt Versus Shame?
Diogenes: In addition to natural law, there are moral laws. There are moral laws as to what is a proper way to be a good human beingow an you may say, but isn't that all culturally relative? Of course, that's a big dispute. But one of the things that the cynics did was to make a distinction between moral principles that are culturally based and purity codes that are historically based. And they are similar in ways such that we can often confuse them together.
