The History of Racism in Soccer
In the 90s, there weren't a lot of black kids playing soccer in New Orleans. Being able to look up and see players like Samuel Eto was "a really special and really affirming thing" Throughout Europe, soccer players of color are often subjected to racist acts as they play what is known as the beautiful game overseas.
