The Fed's Biggest Bond Market Boom in American History
Most stocks and bonds are owned by the wealthiest 10%, not by the bottom 90%. So if you were one of the 10% of the population that owned stocks and bonds, your wealth is going way up. If you were a part of the 90%, your wages were not going up. And in fact, your living standards were being squeezed, not only by the inflation, but by the fact that more and more of your income had to go to paying rent and interest to the fire sector. The result was widening inequality for Americans.
