I don't know if they can pull it off if you're all fucked up. But back then, I think everyone was messed up. George Carlin was on cocaine for a decade. And he wouldn't party. He would go to the room and write jokes. It feels like maybe he had some sort of obsessive compulsive disorder or attention deficit that in his chemistry, he was self-medicating with something. In that era, there was so much of that. Then Belushi died. And then it was like, oh, this kill everybody.
