The Importance of Taste in Music
LZ Granderson: I really feel like having a strong sense of what my taste is has helped a lot. But you know, if you're too strict about your taste, then the fun and the play gets like, "You end up putting a lot of pressure on yourself to like make something match your tastes" He says he's been trying to be more open with his musical choices in order to trust that they will help him get better at making music. LZ: The biggest lessons I've had in this kind of thing with taste and trusting it is in the jamuary stuff.
