Fishing is a great way to learn about an ecosystem. You can go into the science of it, but you don't have to. People have been doing this for 14 thousand years at least. The most productive spots are right around transition points where log meets deeper part of water. Thats why the large basts love to sit near lake where hatchlings hang out.
