The Keynesians' Argument for a Balanced Budget in the 1930s
Keynesians can argue that had FDR had a balanced budget throughout the 30s the Great Depression would be even worse and unemployment would have been 40 percent but it's certainly not a success story. The way Austerians can point to Canada and Ireland and Finland and blah blah blah blah all these examples where it actually worked the Keynesians can't point to a single one he might think it was oh what about so another example would be the Obama stimulus package they point to that it'sOh it's a good thing we didn't have you Austerians at the home Obama came in.
