Is the Dollar a Good Thing?
Dollar is strong. That sounds like a good thing. But i wonder if in practice, does it just mostly mean for most americans that basically, exports from America are becoming more expensive? And this just produces a weaker national economy over awd mean, what does this mean from the perspective of normal toar everyday Americans? I wish that was the data point at the top. I should have done a little more digging there. The effect of the strong dollar is to make imported foreign goods cheap ad which is highly significant. So those people will benefit from a very strong dollar right now, but oviusly a tiny minority of the population.
