Is There a Philosopher of the Future?
I'm imagining something like what I'm trying to think of as a historical analogies and the best historical analogies I could think of were the end of scholastic philosophy in sort of the birth of the early modern era. And then also the thought currents which led to the birth of neo-confucianism in China but all of these people were actually deeply conversant with the traditions they were ostensibly rejecting. The new confusions claimed to be defending confusions from Buddhism and Taoism but in fact we're very very familiar with the works of Buddhist and Taoist philosophers.
