Is Dialectical Materialism Still Relevant?

I think that what he's kind of trying to argue for is a particular misreading of Marx being elevated as like the way that Marx thinks about history. I don't think that at any point, at any point Marx is claiming to offer us a history of all things over all time. And I think that in many senses his method or articulation is trying to separate or distance itself from something which is actually not too different from what he's trying to do. It just seems strange to pick out a tool of Marxism and like divorce it from its roots. What do you think?
