Christianity in the age of Constantine or they've heard of the Council of Nicaea. I think a lot of listeners have an inkling of a general narrative of this controversy. If you go back to your more scholarly takes on it, in the 1800s it still doesn't look that much different than what I just said even in the sort of expert histories.
