The Future of Stream Processing
Each data capture becoming a ubiquitous pattern I think is the next big shift. It's much easier to get to real time using that architecture than it is writing a custom microservice and dealing with edge cases of what if my right doesn't succeed or what if the transaction is aborted halfway. The pains of building and orchestrating microservices are things, but you certainly want to limit them to the ones where the value justifies the on call rotation they're going to need. That's the number one thing we've sort of skipped over that everybody should move away from MySQL to Postgres.
