The Loneliest Man in the World

William Carlos Williams' poem celebrates his loneliness. He says in the last couple of lines, who shall say I am not the happy genius of my household? So it is a man singing about his own loneliness. We know he's not alone because we know he's got a wife and a kid. And let's not forget, Kathleen owes it also in the house.
