Are You a Philosopher Who Pretenders Not to Understand Things?

When i was younger and at a more vulnerable stage of my career, i would have been much more likely to hide the failure. But as i got older, sort of gained my philosophical chops, also gained more confidence in my philosophical chops. And so now i will absolutely, i don't know that i'd necessarily do it in front of an intro class, but i certainly do it in reading groups and so forth with graduate students. I find that that's a very useful thing, because sometimes somebody else can explain it to me,. other times turns out nobody has any idea how that was supposed to go.
