How Did You Get From Algebraic Geometry?

Tik: I always was interested in cryptography, but it's a very hard feeld to get into. And er, the university of alman germany was not the right place for me at that time. So i like, sort of doing that p on the side, was like reading schneyers bookn and stuff like that,. It turned out that that would become very useful later on. But that's, that's how i ended up on on the cryptography team which was, likeit was definitly not the straightest pat into it.
