The History of Discontent

The book was published in 1968 which kind of blew my mind because there's so many things in there that I would have been like oh it must have at least been published right before he died in 81. The one that stood out to me from the progress chapter is a quote we have multiplied a hundred times our ability to learn and report the events of the day and the planet but at times we envy our ancestors whose peace was only gently disturbed by the news of their village. It's just an incredible quote it's also 40 years before Twitter and I can see how many people are there? When they wrote this there were like five news channels yeah.
