The Future of Gravitational Wave Detection

Einstein's theory predicted gravitational waves, and so detecting them is proving Einstein right. Lago sees ripples in space and time with frequencies in the 50 to 2000 Hertz range. Looking farther into the future, we're excited to deploy space-based gravitational wave detectors. This will teach us a great deal about how black holes and other compact objects are formed and distributed throughout the universe.
